A Chartered Work and Organisational Psychologist, Gay White is particularly interested in the development of individuals in leadership roles, teams and organisations. She is a HR executive with over thirty years business experience, gained through a variety of roles, both in core business, Learning & Development and HR, predominantly in the financial services and education sectors. She has delivered leadership development programmes and facilitates learning at senior levels in organisations, using a variety of methods. She has recently returned to her successful consultancy practice, where she specialises in organisation development, helping organisations to achieve sustained results. 

Gay has over twenty years’ experience as a business and executive coach and was a founder member of the Association for Coaching in Ireland, an organisation founded to promote excellence and ethics in coaching. Gay served as a director of the Association for Coaching in Ireland for five years. Her role as Head of Professional Forums involved developing the Association for Coaching nationwide and identifying and delivering suitable Continuing Professional Development opportunities for coaches. She is qualified to use a range of psychometric assessments including EQ-i 2, Insights Discovery, DiSC, Saville Wave, Papi-3, Hogan and OPQ. She holds a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and a Diploma in Neuroscience for Coaches. 

A director of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD), Gay currently holds the elected role of Director of Education. She plays an active role in Alumni Relations in DCU and chaired the Alumni Council during a period of change, strengthening the Council and ensuring that its mission was aligned to the University’s Strategic Plan. She continues to serve on the Alumni Council and the also on the Board of the DCU Education Trust, where she chairs a special Working Group to assist with the development and sustainability of the University’s Access Programme. 

Gay is a fellow of the IITD and the Institute of Banking. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, CIPD and the ICF.
