Training Delivers Results: Eamonn takes on the Skerries Aquathon

At Harvest, our Learning Specialist team always aim to ensure that our training delivers results and achieves outcomes. Some of our team take this aspiration into their sporting lives outside work.

One of our Learning Specialists and Executive Coaches, Eamonn Eaton is a keen cyclist and swimmer and recently took part in the Skerries Aquabike as part of the Skerries Triathlon. The Aquabike category involves a 750m open water swim followed by a 30k bike sprint. Following lockdown, this was one of the first events that took place this year as the Covid restrictions lifted. On the morning the atmosphere was fantastic as everyone involved was so delighted to be back taking part in group events again.

Eamonn had continued training right through lockdown, even managing to cycle 60k training spins within his 5k limit. All the training paid off and this year he finished 1st in his age group and 7th overall in the Aquabike event across all age categories.

Well done Eamonn and it just goes to show that when we put in the training and build our skills we have a better chance of performing well on the day.
